TRUE GRASSROOTS TIME ATTACK
#GRIDLIFE TrackBattle is our multi-event time attack series. TrackBattle is not wheel-to-wheel racing, it is a competition against the clock to see what cars and what teams are fastest over the course of a weekend.
TrackBattle is about providing safe, spirited, and fun competitive track time for advanced and expert drivers. TrackBattle is open to all makes and models and all drive train layouts, from all wheel drive to front wheel drive. We have competitive classes for all degrees of tuning and modification.
For 2018, we will have 5 TrackBattle rounds at 3 different tracks. Round 1 will take place at the legendary Mid-Ohio on April 14-15. Round 2 takes place at our home track, Gingerman Raceway at our festival event June 7-10. Round 3 we will return to Autobahn Country Club June 30 - July 1. Round 4 will once again be at Road Atlanta at our 3rd festival event August 24-26. For round 5, we will return to Gingerman to conclude our 2017 season on October 6-7.
SIMPLE COMPETITION GROUPS
#GRIDLIFE TrackBattle is about safety and fun first. We run a simplified rule set that makes it easy for long time HPDE drivers to make a transition to competitive driving without the complexities and costs of your typical sanctioning bodies. Each competitor will run in a primary competition group based on modifications and drive train, FWD RWD AWD, in the following classes:
The Street classification is intended for daily driven cars with bolt on modifications only. This is our enthusiast class and intended for advanced HPDE drivers that are new to competitive driving.
The Street Modified class is for vehicles that have modifications just beyond off the shelf bolt ons. This class is for vehicles and drivers that have extensive HPDE experience.
The Track Modified class is intended for vehicles that are extensively modified for track and competition use. This class is for drivers that have participated in competitive driving previously.
The Unlimited class is for cars that are significantly modified beyond stock form. This group is for advanced and expert drivers only.
