2019 TrackBattle Round 4 Official Results

Returning for it’s 5th year on the schedule, the Round 4 of #GRIDLIFE TrackBattle took place at Autobahn Country Club. Drivers battled extreme temperatures again with highs in the mid-90s on Saturday. These brutal conditions weren’t enough to stop drivers running their heaters on high as they took to the track and attempt to set records. Austin Hertel was cool as cucumber as he improved on his own Full Course record from 2018, besting it by more than 2 seconds on his first attempt in the Powerstop Street Class. In an increasingly contested Street GT Class, “Cars and Coffee Survivor Racing” defended the win from challenger Coby Shield, on their way to a very quick finish. Shawn Krebsbach was challenged by Jackie Ding all weekend with each driver splitting overall finishes on the two tracks in FCP Euro Street Modified. Unsurprisingly, Luke McGrew continued his winning ways in the Track Modified class. On the more familiar South Course, records continued to fall on Sunday, with all classes except unlimited having new best times. By the end of the weekend, 17 new class records made their way into the timesheets. We’ll see how many of them can stand the test of time. The next points event is #GRIDLIFE Alpine Horizon Festival in beautiful Colorado Springs on July 26-28. Drivers looking to bolster their points should make the trek, and experience everything this venue has to offer.
