Atlanta Motorsports Park

Dawsonville, Georgia

Atlanta Motorsports Park (AMP) is a 1.835-mile road course in Dawsonville, Georgia. Designed by Formula 1’s circuit designer, Hermann Tilke, in 2013, AMP features sixteen corners on its main layout. With plenty of elevation changes and fast, flowing sweepers, the track offers a traditional North American road racing feel with an approachable design. This March, GRIDLIFE will visit this circuit for the first time, and will run on the main configuration with its GRIDLIFE Touring Cup (GLTC) series, Time Attack, and HPDE. The track is about 90 minutes north of the Atlanta airport in Dawsonville. The main entrance is off of Duck Thurmond Road.

Track Limits: Vehicles must remain on the racing surface. The racing surface is defined as the asphalt area between the white lines. Atlanta Motorsports Park does not feature lots of paved runoff, with the exception of the exit of turn 16. The runoff and areas off track are encouraged to be used for accident avoidance, but may NOT be used to gain an advantage or make a pass.

Full Course Yellow Reminders: When double yellow flags are waved, begin to slow to 60-70% of race pace and follow the car in front, leaving a safe distance to react in front. The safety car will be deployed. SAFETY CAR LIGHTS ON = FOLLOW SAFETY CAR - this INCLUDES following the safety car when it enters pit lane. The ONLY time you will NOT follow the safety car is when the lights on top of the safety car are turned off. In this case, remain at safety car speed in line until the green flag is waved.

Safe Havens: If your vehicle has a major mechanical problem or is leaking fluid, look for safe havens - which are breaks in the armco or tire barriers. Pull to a safe haven to the INSIDE of a corner within view of a corner station, if possible.

Facility Entrance/Exit: Enter the racetrack via Duck Thurmond Road. Continue down the road to reach the paddock. Be aware of the paddock flow which is on the map above. GRIDLIFE staff will help facilitate parking rigs.
