GUIDE TO THE GRID: 10 INSIDER TIPS TO GRIDLIFE CIRCUIT LEGENDS FESTIVAL

GRIDLIFE Circuit Legends Festival returns to Lime Rock Park this weekend (Aug. 15-17) for an action-packed celebration of motorsports and car culture from the 1980s to present day. The weekend will feature racing from more than 200 cars ranging from TrackBattle Time Attack, Eibach GRIDLIFE Touring Cup (GLTC), the new GRIDLIFE Grand Touring (GLGT), GRIDLIFE Drifting on the main circuit and more.

Off track there’s even more for fans to enjoy. The GRIDLIFE Arcade will serve as the social hub of the festival, complete with racing simulators, arcade games and a bar/lounge with music and karaoke. While the curated GRIDLIFE X PRIME Concours will host dream cars from the 1980s to the 2000s.

We will breakdown everything you need to see and do while at GRIDLIFE Circuit Legends Festival in this insider’s Guide to the GRID:

1. Racing

The racing from GRIDLIFE will be more competitive than last year, with each group bolstering large fields and featuring guest drivers like Justin Pawlak, Evan Bogovich, Mike Burroughs, Sonya Klaus,TJ Hunt and Bucky Lasek.

What’s Racing?:

Eibach GLTC is a power to weight class, where all cars are built to 12.5 lbs/HP, then add or remove weight percentage modifiers for aero, drivetrain and other modifications. This allows for an enormous variety of builds to compete in a single-class, fast-paced, spectator focused racing. The weekend will feature four action packed races from GLTC between Friday and Saturday.

GLGT is GRIDLIFE’s newest class, debuting earlier this summer. GRIDLIFE GT’s ruleset is designed to capture a variety of modern racing homologations from both touring car and GT competition. Minimal modification is necessary to compete in this class with currently homologated, or recently retired homologated cars beyond tire selection. The class provides a great place to offer vehicle rentals for a team’s recently retired or unused chassis. With the sprint racing format, engine run hours are low, and 200 treadwear tires keep run costs low. The weekend will feature four action packed races from GLGT between Friday and Saturday.

TrackBattle Time Attack will feature multiple Time Attack sessions of some of the fastest cars in North America chasing record laps throughout the weekend. Last year, seven new class track records were broken during Saturday’s final rounds. This class will play host to 70 entries with builds from Connor Omara’s really cool Volkswagen R32 in the Flaken ClubRT class to Mark Johnson’s crazy Honda Civic in the Unlimited Class or John Veloso’s ex-IMSA Acura NSX GT3 Evo in the SuperUnlimited.

GRIDLIFE RUSH National Championship brings wheel-to-wheel sprint racing to the spotlight with the Rush SR, purpose-built sports racers from Rush Auto Works. Designed with drivers in mind, this lightweight, high-performance machine delivers pure racing excitement right out of the box. Built for accessibility and competitive racing, the Rush Series competes in a tightly regulated Spec format. In 2025, the championship spans nine rounds across all GRIDLIFE events, including GRIDLIFE Circuit Legends.

Drift Jam Sessions are GRIDLIFE curated full drifting sessions for invited drivers only. GRIDLIFE prides itself on bringing Drift onto big tracks and integrating it into a motorsports melting pot of good vibes and high fives. Putting drift drivers on the same courses as the road racers offers a unique opportunity for high-speed driving and exciting firsts in the drift community. This year, GRIDLIFE will host six Drift Jam Sessions at Lime Rock Park. Featured drivers like Matt Coffman and Grant Anderson also join the Drift Jam Sessions.
