GRIDLIFE South Carolina Festival Ignites 2026 Season with Night Drifting, Racing, Music and Car Culture at Carolina Motorsports Park
More than 250 drivers entered for GRIDLIFE season opener in Kershaw
KERSHAW, SC (14 April 2026) — GRIDLIFE doesn’t just ease into a season. It ignites from the start.
GRIDLIFE South Carolina Festival returns to Carolina Motorsports Park April 17-19, turning the 2.27-mile circuit into a three-day blend of wheel-to-wheel racing, tire smoke, bass lines and the kind of grassroots car culture that is driven by bold builds and distinct style.
In the Festival's fourth year at the former World War II training airport in Kershaw, S.C., the expectation is clear from the start. GRIDLIFE South Carolina sets the tone for the six-event national festival tour.
Across the weekend, more than 250 drivers, including two-time Grammy winner and rapper T-Pain, will take part in a nonstop rotation of racing, drifting and time attack competition, spanning from the Eibach GRIDLIFE Touring Cup (GLTC), GRIDLIFE Grand Touring (GLGT), TrackBattle Time Attack, the GRIDLIFE RUSH Series, USF Juniors open-wheel series and drifting on two different circuits.
Eibach GLTC remains the backbone of the paddock, where power-to-weight rules level the field and put everything from Honda Civics to Porsche Caymans door-to-door. Its counterpart, GLGT, raises the stakes with higher horsepower builds and equally competitive racing.
The RUSH Series strips it down even further, placing identical machines in the hands of drivers where the outcome comes down to precision and racecraft in one of the largest fields on the grid.
TrackBattle Time Attack shifts the focus to the clock, with competitors chasing class records across seven categories, while GRIDLIFE Drift delivers a fan-favorite spectacle, pulling crowds to the fence line as drivers push for proximity, angle and style on the main circuit.
Guest drivers and personalities add to the mix, including Hert, T-Pain, Justin Pawlak, Sonya, Evan Bogovich, Shawn Bassett, Cole Richards and Nate Chen, along with local drivers Dustin Miles, Sebastian Suaza and Gregg Bucell.
But GRIDLIFE has never been just about what happens on track.
GRIDLIFE AFTER DARK
As the sun drops, the paddock transforms and AFTER GRID takes over the night.
Friday’s Night Shift Drift on the kart circuit includes the debut of “Night Shift Smackdown,” Emceed by the host GRIDWALK, Formula Drift’s new segment on Racer Network, Gregg Bucell, who brings a megaphone and a promise of drama under the lights.
“There will be callouts, backies, drama, antagonism and door bangs,” Bucell said. “Records will be broken, tears will be shed and rivalries will ensue.”
After Night Shift Drift, the paddock stays alive with the free GRIDLIFE Pump Party on Friday from 10 p.m. to midnight, where a DJ, drinks and a small car meet take over the fuel pumps in the center of the paddock.
Saturday night shifts the focus to the NOS Energy Stage, where Sullivan King headlines an EDM lineup that includes CHYL and Jake Panda, blending live music into the same space where race cars cooled down just hours earlier.
The Overland Experience, presented by Queen City Overland adds another layer to the weekend, creating a campground hub within Camp HQ where attendees can explore fully outfitted rigs, connect with fellow enthusiasts and take part in a free Saturday night after-party following the music performances at 10 p.m.
2026 Season launch also includes new fan experiences
The weekend also introduces new fan-facing experiences, including expanded gridwalks on both Saturday and Sunday, giving spectators direct access to cars, drivers and the personalities behind them
Fans will have the opportunity to meet competitors and collect autographs on free event posters during lunch on the false grid.
Off track, the event continues to grow into a full-spectrum lifestyle festival. The newly restructured showfield features the GRIDLIFE Showcase alongside dedicated corrals for FCP Euro, Subimods and Hyundai N, bringing together builds from across the region with a central showcase on Saturday.
Throughout the paddock, partners and brands play an active role in shaping the GRIDLIFE experience. Tire Rack joins as the Official Tire Retailer of GRIDLIFE, supporting teams on site, while Eibach, Toyo Tires, Falken Tire, Subimods and Gtechniq return with expanded activations in the Partner Paddock. Nappy Boy Automotive will be on site with vehicle displays and merchandise, while MOZA introduces new simulator rigs for fans in the free GRIDLIFE Arcade. NOS Energy Drink will keep the energy high across the weekend, handing out free drinks in the Partner Paddock.
Whether it is the intensity of the racing, the spectacle of drift, the pulse of the music or the community built in between, GRIDLIFE South Carolina Festival is set to deliver a season opener at full volume.
