VIRTUAL TIME ATTACK COMPETITION

TRACK BATTLE ES VIRTUAL TIME ATTACK OVERVIEW

The #GRIDLIFE TrackBattle ES Time Attack Rule set is designed for both builders and drivers just like the actual #GRIDLIFE Time Attack. Races will take place in “seasons” consisting of 4 or more different tracks. Drivers must race a single car in a single class across the entire season. Competition will take place in a collision off lobby with forced rules around assists.

HOW TO PLAY:

  • TrackBattle ES is played exclusively on Forza Motorsports 7 available on both Xbox and PC platforms.

  • Each week of an official season will take place on a single track across all competition classes. Tracks will be announced weekly on Fridays at 10am EST

QUALIFYING

  • Competitors will have until Tuesday at 2am EST to qualify for the weekly finals by submitting a photo or screenshot of their fastest lap via the qualifying submission form.

  • Qualifying screenshots can be from solo or online play and do not have to take place in an official GRIDLIFE qualifying session.

  • GRIDLIFE Leads and community members will be hosting official and community qualifying lobbies throughout the week leading up to the finals within the GRIDLIFE Discord.

WEEKLY FINALS

  • Finals will take place each week on Wednesday at 9pm EST and will consist of the top 20 fastest drivers per class from the submissions that week.

  • Weekly competitors will be notified via EMAIL and DISCORD at roughly 3pm EST on the day of broadcast.

  • Competitors from that week must meet within the Discord beginning 45 minutes prior to broadcast 8:15PM EST

SEASON POINTS

  • Points will be awarded to each driver per finals round and season champions will be crowned for each class at the end of each season.

  • Each season will contain a number of drop events and champions will be crowned based on a calculation of best of rounds determined at the beginning of each season. Example: Season 1 is best 3 of 4 season.

  • Points will work the same as the real life #GRIDLIFE TrackBattle points. PLACE POINTS: The number of points available for a given event based on finishing position in class. Points awarded will be based on the following formula: Primary Earned Points = 100 - (10 x (Time Difference from 1st in Tenths)) As an example, 0.5s behind 1st place = 100 - (10 x (0.5)) = 95 pts

SUPER STAGES & SPECIAL EVENTS

  • Points from all rounds will count towards Super Stages and Special Events happening each quarter and at select #GRIDLIFE TrackBattle, Festival & GameNight events
